Flexibility has got to be the most neglected component of physical fitness. In order to become more “flexible” one must consistently practice and remember…baby steps… Be patient with yourself and progress slowly to ensure safety.
There are a few different types of stretching; one is dynamic stretching to prepare your body for a higher level of exercise, example, fast squats, arm swings, quad stretches etc. Always done before a work out.
Then, there is static stretching where you take the muscle to full range of motion and relax and hold it for :30-:60 and is done AFTER a workout!
